Kaia Naturals - Bamboo Tapioca Beads

I love multi-use products!  I'm always trying to condense and minimize pretty much everything in my life whether it's my makeup kit for work or my personal makeup kit at home so when Kaia Naturals contacted me about trying out their new Bamboo Tapioca Beads I was very excited to give them a try!

So what is this product you ask - well it's a Cleanser, Exfoliator, Mask and Makeup Remover....Yeah it pretty much does it all!  Not only that but it comes in a powder form so it's PERFECT for travel and you can throw it into your carry-on and not have to worry about any liquid restrictions for planes or messy spills in your luggage!  Plus think of how much space you could save if you only had to take one product for all of that!  Also, great to throw in your gym bag if you shower at the gym!  Not only that but it's also Gluten-Free and Cruelty-Free!

It's full of really natural and non-irritating ingredients like kaolin and tapioca root starch which help absorb oil, control shine and purge the skin of toxins and chickpea powder and bamboo which are gentle exfoliants that help soften debris to clear pores and soothe the skin.

To use the powder you just need to activate it w/ a liquid - water if you want to use it as a cleanser, exfoliator or mask and oil if you want to use it as a makeup remover.  Not just typical cooking oil though...Moringa Oil is great for all skin types and the ppl at Kaia say it's their favourite b/c it's a dry oil and won't leave any sort of residue or oilness on the skin plus it penetrates really quickly.  In fact after using it your skin might feel so good it won't even need a moisturizer!  Other liquid suggestions include Almond Oil which is great for combination skin and Blood Orange Juice also great for combination skin and it will help boost the tone of the skin!

I do like to remind ppl to not be afraid of oils on their skin.  I know a lot of ppl w/ oily skin are petrified of adding more oil to their skin but this will not make your skin more oily especially if you use a dry oil.  Plus just b/c your skin is oily doesn't mean it's not sometimes dehydrated too or just in need of a good exfoliation!

So definitely worth giving this product a try if you want something small, light weight and easy to travel with that can do the job of several products!

More Goodies From Kaia Naturals!

A couple of wks ago I did a product review on Kaia Naturals Bamboo Cleansing Cloths and I happened to mention how much I wanted to try their Nature's Matte Finish Collection.  Well the very nice and generous ppl at Kaia saw that and were kind enough to send me some more of their products to review (man I love my job sometimes ;) )!

So first let's talk about what's in these products that makes them different or special compared to some other products on the market!

What's In Them

100% Pure Moringa Oil
Argan Oil
Vitamins C & E
Aloe Juice
...They are also Cruelty Free & Vegan :)

What's NOT In Them

No Silicone
No Gluten
No Parabens
No Polymers

Before Kaia I had never heard about Moringa Oil but here's what they have to say about it: Moringa Oil is cold-pressed from the seeds of the moringa tree and is indigenous to Africa and India, often being referred to as the "miracle tree" because of its nutrient rich properties.

It is considered a dry oil as it penetrates w/out any oily residue.  It contains 6x the vitamin C of oranges with complete oxidative stability as well as 17x the calcium of milk.  It works synergistically with other natural ingredients to create a matte finish, completely eliminating the use of polymers and silicones, which are commonly used in foundation primers and do not allow the skin to breathe.

I definitely like that there are no silicones in the primer/face cream as I sometimes find that makes my makeup slide off or ball up...I've had that happen before when using the Smashbox primer which can make my face a little too slippery.  I also really like the idea of a primer/face cream together b/c in the Summer the last thing I want to do is apply endless amounts of product to my skin.  I do wish though that this cream had an SPF to it b/c I always try and wear a face cream w/ SPF but I do know that can be an allergen to some ppl so I can understand why it's not in the product.  I also liked that it absorbed easily into my skin and didn't feel heavy or oily...another thing my skin definitely doesn't need in the warm Summer mths!

The eye cream was really nice too and had all the benefits that the face cream has plus I did feel like it slightly tightened the area around my eyes...I guess that's the "primer" at work.  I also like that you can see the ingredients for each of the products listed online and it tells you exactly "what they do" in the product!

The 24hr Booster Serum was also very nice and can be mixed w/ the face primer/cream for added moisture benefits.  I can definitely see this being useful in the Winter dryer mths.  I also used it at night w/ my night creams as some of my acne products can have a drying effect on certain areas of my face.

Juicy Bamboo Cleansing Cloths

A few weeks back the lovely ppl at Kaia Naturals sent me their AMAZING Juicy Bamboo Cleansing Cloths to test and review and I have to say I'm MAJORLY a fan!

What's so great about these cleansing cloths you ask?  Well I'll tell you!

They are a Cleasner + Toner + Eye Makeup Remover All in One!

Let me tell you...now this isn't the best thing to admit but it's Summer and I like to go out for a few drinks on a patio.  At the end of the night when I'm super tired I can't tell you how useful these were at quickly taking off my makeup (including my stubborn eye makeup) before I passed out lol!

Now I'll be honest I probably wouldn't use them all the time in lieu of my regular cleansing and toning routine but they are a great alternative when you're feeling lazy and tired or are on the go either traveling or want a quick refreshing clean up after the gym!

What's In Them:

8 Pure Plant-Based Essential Oils
Certified Organic Canadian Honey
Sunflower Oil
Contains Vitamins B12, C & E

What's Not!...I think this part is really important!

No Alcohol
No Synthetic Fragrance
No Parabens
No Sulfates

They come in travel packs and full size and they are definitely a product I think are worth checking out!  After checking out their website I'm also really interested in the Nature's Matte Finish Collection...I'll definitely have to look into that ;)
